Iridium Communications Inc. unveiled its advanced technology "Iridium 9602" satellite information transceiver in January at its annual Partners Conference in Phoenix, Ariz.
The Iridium 9602 is a whole duplex short-burst data (SBD) transceiver designed for inscribed programs in the rapidly developing market for remote asset tracing and monitoring solutions. The product, which is the culmination of a 2-year R&D program, has completed prototype assessment, and Iridium predicts to begin commercial enterprise deliveries in June.
The latest Iridium 9602 short-burst data transceiver will provide global two-way info links for remote tracking, checking and messaging applications. The smaller size of the new Iridium 9602 short-burst data transceiver will permit system integrators to embed the model in a wide range of small, handy satellite tracking, checking and messaging solutions.
